How to Get to the Congress in Barcelona?

EURETINA 2024 is held at the following congress venue:

CCIB International Barcelona Convention Center
Plaça de Willy Brandt, 11 – 14, Sant Marti, 08019 Barcelona, Spain
https://ccib.es/en/barcelona/#ccib_arribar

Access via Entrance C and D

Barcelona has an excellent and efficient public transportation system that makes reaching the CCIB (Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona) easy and convenient. We strongly encourage you to use public transport as part of our sustainability strategy.

Metro: The Metro Line L4 (Yellow Line) takes you directly to the CCIB. The nearest stop is “El Maresme – Fòrum”, which is just a 5-minute walk from the congress center.

Bus: Several bus lines also serve the CCIB area. The most convenient are:

  • Line 7, which stops at “Diagonal – Pl Llevant”
  • Line H16, which stops at “Pg Taulat – Pl de Llevant”

You can find a map with all bus stops close to the congress centre on their website: https://ccib.es/en/barcelona/#ccib_arribar

Tram: The T4 Tram stops at “Fòrum”, which is right next to the congress centre.

Tickets and schedules:

  • Tickets: You can purchase single tickets or T-casual tickets (10 rides) at any Metro or train station using ticket machines or counters. Alternatively, you can also purchase a Hola Barcelona Travel Card, which allows for unlimited journeys within a certain time frame.
  • Schedules: Use the “TMB” app or website for real-time public transport information in Barcelona: https://www.tmb.cat/en/home

Why Public Transport?

By choosing public transport, you contribute to reducing the carbon footprint of the event, in line with our commitment to sustainability. Plus, it’s often faster than a taxi due to traffic congestion in the city. We invite all attendees to embrace this climate-friendly option and enjoy Barcelona like a local!

Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport is 20 km from the CCIB. There are several transport links from the airport to the city center: trains, underground, bus, and taxi, which connect the airport with the city center. Here are two ways to get from the airport to the CCIB by public transportation:

From Terminal 1 (T1):

  • Find the Bus Station at Terminal 1 by following the signs for “Public Transport” or “Aerobus.” The bus stop is located outside the main terminal building on the ground floor. Take the Aerobus A1 towards Plaça Catalunya, which runs every 5-10 minutes.
  • After about 30 minutes, you will reach Plaça Catalunya, where you need to transfer to the Metro Line L1 (Red Line) towards Fondo. Follow the signs for the Metro entrance, which is located in the main square.
  • Travel on Line L1 for just one stop and get off at the Urquinaona stop, where you need to switch to Metro Line L4 (Yellow Line) towards La Pau.
  • After about 15 minutes, get off at El Maresme/Fòrum Station. From here, you can walk to the CCIB in 5 minutes. Follow the signs towards the Fòrum area; the CCIB is located near the sea, next to the Diagonal Mar Shopping Centre.

From Terminal 2 (T2):

  • Find the Train Station at Terminal 2 by following the signs for the “Train/Renfe” or “Rodalies de Catalunya.” The train station is accessible via a covered bridge.
  • Take the R2 Nord Train towards Barcelona-Sants or Maçanet-Massanes. After 25 minutes, you will reach the Passeig de Gràcia Station.
  • At Passeig de Gràcia, follow the signs to transfer to the Metro Line L4 (Yellow Line) towards La Pau.
  • After 20 minutes, you will reach El Maresme/Fòrum Station, where you need to get off the train. From here, you can walk to the CCIB in about 5 minutes. Follow the signs towards the Fòrum area.
