General Registration Information

Delegates can register to attend the 22nd EURETINA Congress either in person in Hamburg or for virtual access only (online). Delegates attending face to face in Hamburg should register at the onsite registration desk (see registration desk opening hours). 

EURETINA Members can avail of significant discounts when registering for the Congress. If you would like to become a EURETINA member before registering, please click here.  

Non-members of EURETINA will be given the opportunity while registering for the Congress to avail of a one-time special offer to become a member of EURETINA, thus qualifying for reduced member registration rates and generating a net cash saving of up to €65*.

Individual delegates from Low Income and Lower Middle Income countries, as defined by the World Bank, are entitled to special registration rates for virtual access to the Congress.  See details below for applicable countries and rates**.

Delegates from Ukraine are offered complimentary registration**.

In Person Attendance at the Congress Centre Hamburg

  • Congress Pass with access to the Congress Centre Hamburg for the duration of the Congress including all Sessions and Instructional courses.
  • Access to Industry Exhibition in Congress Centre Hamburg.
  • Access to Virtual Meeting Platform during the live event and until 31st December 2022.

Registration for Virtual Access Only

Delegates who register for virtual access only are not entitled to a Congress Pass so will not be eligible to attend in person at the Congress Centre Hamburg. If you have purchased registration for virtual access only and subsequently wish to attend the conference in person in Hamburg, please contact [email protected].

Trainee Member (under 40 years of age) A discount is available for trainees who are currently in a residency programme, are members of EURETINA and are under 40 years of age. Verification documentation is required, written in English, and must be uploaded during the registration process for approval along with photo ID/proof of date of birth. Trainee Non-Member (under 40 years of age) – A discount is available for trainees who are currently in a residency programme, are NOT members of EURETINA and are under 40 years of age. Verification documentation is required, written in English, and must be uploaded during the registration process for approval along with photo ID/proof of date of birth. Allied Healthcare Professional – Optometrists, practice managers, PhDs, MBAs, healthcare administrators, office support staff and ophthalmic photographers. Doctors and Commercial representatives can NOT avail of this fee. Verification in the form of a work identification or a letter written in English from your employer must be uploaded during the registration process for approval.

Ophthalmic Nurse/Technician – Ophthalmic nurses, technicians, assistants and orthoptists. Verification in the form of a work ID or a verification letter, written in English, from your hospital is required and must be uploaded during the registration process for approval.

Corporate – Commercial representatives and corporate personnel of companies not exhibiting who have a legitimate educational or business reason for attending, but do not have a product or service to exhibit. No solicitation is permitted. Employees of exhibiting companies are not entitled to pay this fee and must register via the relevant contact from their company.

Group/Third Party Registrations registrations can be managed by creating an account in the Group Registration Portal. Please note, you are required to provide the delegate information prior to payment. Registration packages can no longer be purchased and assigned to delegates at a later stage.

Separate registrations will be required for groups being registered to attend the Congress in person in Hamburg and groups being registered for virtual access only (online).

Group Registration Portal

  • Use the group registration portal to manage your registrations.
  • Add new registrations one by one or import multiple contacts via a spreadsheet. (The import template can be downloaded from the group registration portal. All fields on the template are mandatory to complete the import).
  • Complete payments.
  • View and resend Delegate Registration Confirmation emails.

Please note, a valid and unique email address is required for each delegate registered at the time the registration is made.

Where personal data is provided on behalf of someone else during the group registration process, you must ensure you have their consent to share their personal information with us.

  • Early Bird Registrations: 15th July 2022, 23.59 CET.
  • Late Fee Registrations: 30th August 2022, 23.59 CET.
  • Onsite Fee Registrations: From 31st August 2022.
  • Registrations cancelled by 13th July 2022 will be refunded 80% of the registration fees.
  • Registrations cancelled between 14th July and 10th August 2022 will be refunded 50% of the registration fees.
  • Registrations cancelled after 10th August 2022 will not be eligible for a refund.

Failed visa applications: Cancellations from delegates after a bona fide failed visa application will be refunded the registration fee providing the registration department is notified before 31 August 2022.  Notification must be received in writing to the Registration Department for refunds to be eligible.
