Terms & Conditions
– The Video Competition Submission portal is now closed – Closing date was Tuesday 15th March (23:59 CET).
– Please note that you must be a EURETINA Member in order to submit a Video Competition abstract.
– Video entries will be considered for the Euretina Video Competition Awards, due to be held at the Opening Ceremony on Thursday 1st September 2022.
– Each applicant may submit a maximum of 2 Video Competition abstracts.
If you choose to submit an abstract(s) we will use your personal details to keep you updated on its status including whether it has been accepted for presentation at the Euretina Congress. If your abstract(s) is accepted for presentation at the Euretina Congress your contact details (name and email address) will be sent to a third-party Audio-Visual Company in order for them to contact you in relation to uploading your presentation.
Review & Evaluation
– All submitted abstracts will be reviewed before final selection is made with submissions ranked according to their average score.
– If your abstract is accepted, you will be informed of this by email in May 2022.
Abstract Submission
All submitted abstracts must be in English and follow the structured format below:
Title (250 characters max)
Purpose (100 words max)
Setting/Venue (50 words max)
Methods (200 words max)
Results (200 words max)
Conclusions (200 words max)
All abstracts MUST be submitted in the presenting author’s name.
Financial Disclosure: Please indicate Yes/No with details where applicable.
Further Instructions
– The total duration of the video, including title and credits, must not exceed 8 minutes.
– After submitting your abstract you will be contacted by the EURETINA Programme Team with a Dropbox link to upload your video.
– The video must include a narration, music alone will not be accepted.
– The title and narration of the video must be in English.
– Accepted videos will be displayed on EURETINA On Demand after the Congress.
– The video entries will be judged by members of the EURETINA Programme Committee, and prizes will be awarded for the top videos at the discretion of the judging panel.
– Shortlisted winners must be present at the Opening Ceremony on Thursday 1st September in order to receive their prize.
