Wet Labs

The Wet Lab Programme at the 25th Euretina Congress is intended to provide delegates with hands-on training in surgical techniques focusing on Basic Vitrectomy & Complicated Cataract Surgery and Dropped Lens. These courses will broaden the surgical knowledge of attendees and allow delegates to receive training from a renowned expert faculty. The Wet Lab will be an interactive session that provides an opportunity to learn and practice surgical skills on site at the congress.

Basic Vitrectomy – Includes teaching the use of trocars, core vitrectomy, removal of vitreous floaters.

Complicated Cataract Surgery – Includes teaching the techniques of Pars Plana Vitrectomy in case of posterior capsular rupture or IOL dropping. Secondary IOL implantation with various lens models can be learned.

Wet Lab 2 – 13:00 – 16:00 | Complicated Cataract Surgery and Dropped Lens

Saturday 6th September

Wet Lab 3 – 09:00 – 11:00 | Basic Vitrectomy

Wet Lab 4 – 13:00 – 16:00 | Complicated Cataract Surgery and Dropped Lens

Note: Skills in cataract surgery are a requirement.
