Euretina is governed by an elected Board representing its European membership of retina specialists. Board members are appointed by the General Assembly through an election process and serve a defined term, ensuring accountability and continuity of leadership.
Euretina started life as the European Retina, Macula and Vitreous Society in June 2000. Since then we have grown to over 4,000 members and our annual Congress attracts thousands of delegates.
Our goal is to enable access to the same cutting-edge retina science worldwide. We believe, together we can prevent avoidable blindness.
Through our membership, annual Congress, Winter Meeting and always-on digital resource, we share robust scientific and educational resources relating to retina.
We also support research through grants, and offer mentorship and observership programmes.
