EURETINA established Young Retina Specialists (YOURS) in 2013, to represent the interests of younger members, who are under 40 years of age.
Our YOURS (Young Retina Specialists) initiative is one of the primary ways in which we encourage younger ophthalmologists in their retina careers and attract the next generation into the retina subspecialty.
YOURS offers several benefits including three years of free membership.
The Ophthalmologica Lecture is awarded at the Annual EURETINA Congress during the YOURS Symposium.
The Ophthalmologica Lecture is awarded to a young (max. 40 years of age) European ophthalmologist/clinician-scientist in the field of retinal research who has shown outstanding talent for research, and who is expected to be an exceptional talent in contributing further to the field of retina research during her/his further career.
The Ophthalmologica Lecture Award consists of an award certificate, money prize, and an invited review monograph in Ophthalmologica journal.
