Governance
Euretina is governed by an elected Board representing its European membership of retina specialists. Board members are appointed by the General Assembly through an election process and serve a defined term, ensuring accountability and continuity of leadership.
The Board is supported by an Executive Committee and a range of specialised committees, including research, subspecialty sections, and guideline development groups, which contribute to the scientific, educational and strategic activities of the society. These committees have a membership of international experts and report to the Board.
The General Assembly, comprising the wider membership, provides oversight through voting on key decisions including Board appointments and organisational direction.
This structure ensures broad professional representation and supports Euretina’s mission to advance retinal care and improve patient outcomes across Europe.
