It has come to our attention that several members of our community have recently received fraudulent e-mails posing as official communication related to the upcoming conference in Paris this September. These e-mails are attempts to deceive our members into providing personal information.
In addition, there are several websites purporting to represent Euretina and offering registration and hotel services for the Congress. These are likely to be fraudulent.
Scammers are also using fake social media accounts to target users.

E-mail scam from Global Travel Experts
We have had reports of members receiving unsolicited e-mails from Global Travel Experts, from e-mail addresses including;

An example e-mail is below:
Greetings Prof,
Kindly provide your travel dates in Paris to help us secure your accommodation for the conference this September.
If you haven’t finalized your travel details yet, Kindly note that the reservation is entirely modifiable and can be canceled without incurring any fees
Our convenient cancellations system is available up to 14 days ahead of your arrival date.
We would appreciate your prompt response so we can forward you the hotel booking link and finalize the reservation.

These e-mails are not from Euretina or any of our official partners. If you receive such an e-mail, please do not respond or provide them with any of your personal details. We believe it is a scam. Instead, delete the e-mail immediately.
