Outline & Faculty

Join us for an engaging webinar titled “Databases as Essential Tools for Inherited Retinal Disorders”, Moderated by Isabelle Audo (France) & João Pedro Marques (Portugal). Organised by Bart Leroy (Belgium)

Inherited Retinal Disorders (IRDs) are essentially rare eye diseases. Therefore, accumulating data on their phenotypes and genetic backgrounds (genotypes) is essential to get better insights into both their pathogenesis as well as their evolution over time. As such, databases have become essential tools in the quest to better understand nathural history of disease for IRDs. The latter is more important than ever now that innovative treatments such as gene augmentation therapy, cell therapy and oral medications are being developed with rapid pace. This Euretina Webinar will focus on the challenges and opportunities of everal databases that have already proven to be efficient tools for IRD research.
